The second edition of the Recreativa MTB Ataica 2025 will arrive in Grecia on March 30, combining the passion for mountain biking with a social cause.
This event aims to raise funds for Asociación Ataica, which provides daytime care, nutrition, and training to 55 adults with disabilities in conditions such as autism, Down syndrome, paralysis, and degenerative diseases.
The competition offers two routes designed for intermediate-level cyclists: one of 15 kilometers and another of 30 kilometers, with courses that cross pastures, viewpoints, and sugarcane fields, providing a physical challenge amid natural landscapes. The start will be at 8:00 a.m. from the sports plaza La Argentina de Grecia.
Costa Rica Green Valley, together with Portafolio Inmobiliario, reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and inclusion by sponsoring this event.
Roberto Arguello, director of the Costa Rica Green Valley project, said:
By supporting this initiative, we reaffirm our community vision: an ecosystem where companies not only generate employment and economic development, but also create accessible spaces, strengthen social cohesion, and protect the natural environment”
Registration costs ₡15,000 and includes insurance, medical and mechanical assistance, professional photography, support stations, and a commemorative t-shirt for the first 150 registrants.
José Antonio Herrero, president of Ataica, said:
For this year, we are better organized and expect greater participation. Those who join will not only enjoy a great sporting event, but will also support a life-changing cause”
Registrations can be made at Ciclo Hidalgo (San Pedro de Poás), GTL (Grecia), Ciclo Mime (Alajuela) and Taller Dr. Cleta (Santa Gertrudis), as well as via SINPE Móvil at 6346-1137 in the name of Miriam Jiménez.
