The thrill of mountain biking comes together with a noble cause in the second edition of the MTB Ataica Recreational Race 2025, a sports event with social impact taking place next Sunday, March 30, in Grecia.

The MTB Ataica Recreational Race aims to raise funds for the Ataica Association, which provides daytime care, meals, and training to 55 adults with disabilities who have conditions such as autism, Down syndrome, paralysis, and degenerative diseases.

Starting at the La Argentina sports plaza in Grecia at 8:00 a.m., the race offers two challenges: a 15-kilometer route and a 30-kilometer route, both featuring scenic trails that pass through pastures, viewpoints, and sugarcane fields. Designed for intermediate-level cyclists, this competition promises not only physical challenges but also an opportunity to contribute to a transformative cause.

For Costa Rica Green Valley, together with Portafolio Inmobiliario, sponsoring the MTB Ataica Recreational Race 2025 represents an opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to building sustainable, diverse, and inclusive urban environments. Through this support, the company seeks to strengthen its communities of influence, promoting initiatives that foster a sense of community and social well-being.

“By supporting this initiative, we reaffirm our community vision: an ecosystem where companies not only generate employment and economic development, but also create accessible spaces, strengthen social cohesion, and protect the natural environment. We believe in growth that goes hand in hand with people’s well-being, and events like this one allow us to move forward in that direction,” said Roberto Arguello, director of the Costa Rica Green Valley Project.

“This year, we are better organized and expect greater participation. Those who join the race will not only enjoy a great sporting event, but will also be supporting a cause that changes lives,” highlighted José Antonio Herrero, president of Ataica and partner of Costa Rica Green Valley.

In addition to the race, the event will include dance classes, inflatable games for boys and girls, and food for sale, making it a fun experience for the whole family.
