The company with partners of Mexican origin Nitrile Gloves announced the construction of a 4,000 m2 plant for the manufacture of nitrile gloves in Costa Rica.
The company will be installed in the Costa Rica Green Valley business park, a mixed-use development under the free zone format located in Grecia, Alajuela.
For now, the company has not revealed the amount of the investment, but announced that it will hire 25 people in the first stage of the project, in operational and administrative areas.
Company with extensive experience
The firm has more than 55 years of experience in the production of gloves.
“The need arising from the pandemic, as well as the daily use and awareness of hand protection and care, prompted Nitrile Gloves to start a new nitrile glove project in Costa Rica.
«In this way, take advantage of the facilities and benefits that the country provides to install investment projects of this type,» the Costa Rican Coalition of Development Initiatives (Cinde), an entity in charge of promoting the arrival of foreign investment to the country, said in a statement.
Cinde stressed that at the end of last year, 3,660 Costa Ricans were employed in multinational companies that invested outside the Greater Metropolitan Area, as Nitrile Gloves will do.
The Minister of Foreign Trade, Andrés Valenciano, was pleased with this new investment. «Thanks to this opening, the Costa Rica Green Valley free zone stands out as an area outside the GAM with optimal competitive conditions and a very favorable climate for investment.»
Arnoldo Estrada, director of the Costa Rica Green Valley project, stated: “In Real Estate Portfolio our goal will always be to promote foreign investment and the development of key areas in the country. And that allow the generation of employment and new opportunities for economic reactivation for the different sectors”.
